Position Summary

Reporting to the Business Manager, the School Scheduler & Records Officer (North) is responsible for all school scheduling and coordinating student records functions at the North, Lakeshore and Orangeville Campuses for the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. The incumbent initiates the day-time development of program, faculty and room timetables; is accountable for the overall organization, planning, developing, analyzing and implementing of service course(s) for all academic schools on all campuses; organizes all student record functions including class lists and e-grades, monitors all on-line registration and enrolment activity; prepares various statistical reports which facilitate projections and budget forecasting for the following program areas: English, Math and Liberal Studies. The incumbent will also assist with training needs of the School as well as maintain and market the School website. The incumbent will also work, in conjunction with the School Scheduler & Records Officer (Lakeshore), to assist with scheduling services and students records functions ta the Lakeshore, North and Orangeville campuses for the following program areas: Academic Upgrading, Continuing Education, General Arts & Sciences and the English Language Centre.


The successful candidate will possess a three-year diploma or degree in Business Administration or equivalent along with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible office experience. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Additional qualifications include: demonstrated skill using MS Office Suite, including a typing speed of 60wpm; excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills; demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a team environment; knowledge of post-secondary registration procedures; ability to compose correspondence; and proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work on own initiative. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the College scheduling system, TPHi as well as competency using student information records systems (Banner Student).
