The successful candidate will be qualified to teach technical and business mathematics, statistics and quantitative methods to students in diplomas, degrees and post-graduate certificates in a variety of applied areas of study. The incumbent will teach, develop curriculum, design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for his/her students, assess student progress and achievement; consulting colleagues, working and collaborating with related associations, participate in committees, departmental initiatives, and classroom relevant research. Teaching will be assigned at both the North and Lakeshore campuses and may include teaching at the Orangeville campus.
The incumbent will also support student advising, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties.


The successful candidate will have a completed Masters degree in statistics or related fields of study, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching at the post-secondary level. The candidate should also be conversant with current educational technologies, including in-class presentation media, online teaching using BlackBoard and other relevant classroom technologies. Industry acumen and experience is also required.
In addition, the successful candidate will have engaging and effective teaching skills, adaptable to different instructional settings and student needs, learning assessment skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture. The successful candidate will possess well developed interpersonal communication and problem solving skills and have demonstrated ability to contribute positively to curriculum development and delivery.
