Manager, Maintenance and Custodial Services
Under the general direction of the Associate Director, Maintenance & Operations, the Manager, Maintenance & Custodial Services (North) is accountable for the delivery of effective Custodial Operations, Site Maintenance, Mailroom & Central Shipping/Receiving, and Residence Maintenance for Humber College North Campus. The Manager provides leadership to the Staff and External Vendors to upkeep facilities operations and support the Humber College Community to provide an optimal and uninterrupted learning/ working environment. This position may be required to act on behalf of the Associate Director at times.
The successful incumbent will possess a four year degree or equivalent in an engineering or architecture discipline plus a minimum of five years’ related work experience. Additional qualifications include: skills/training in the fields of environmental & safety regulations, health & safety, life safety, building maintenance, renovation & construction,; working knowledge of regulatory codes related to field noted above; skills/training of facility management systems comprised of, but not limited to: maintenance management, preventative maintenance & work control; working knowledge of spread sheet, database & word processing software with attendant keyboarding skills; and skills/training in operational management, budgeting, human resources, team building, client service & conflict resolution.
