Professor/Program Coordinator, Healthcare Management
The successful candidate will be required to teach courses in and coordinate the Healthcare Management degree program at the Lakeshore campus. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include: curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to play an active role in student advising, student recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will be expected to further develop community partnerships, as well as participate on Humber College/Departmental committees and advance college initiatives. This individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.
The successful candidate will have a relevant PhD, proven teaching or training experience, and a minimum of seven years of recent related business experience. Additional qualifications include: superior and demonstrable written and oral communication skills, initiative and well-developed interpersonal communication and problem solving skills; proven desire and adaptability to work in a diverse, dynamic, multicultural environment with scarce resources; strong leadership capabilities; and a proven commitment to professional development, lifelong learning and non-traditional delivery methods. Demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery; knowledge of college systems, policies, procedures, the program context, and the ability to teach in a related discipline are advantageous.
Duration: The Coordinator component of this position is a three (3) year term.

Academic start salaries are determined by qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the current Collective Agreement for Academic Employees. As per Article 14.03 A 3 of the Academic Collective Agreement, a Coordinator’s allowance will be paid in addition to the successful candidate’s salary as a Professor.
