Position Summary

Reporting to the Chair, the Coordinator of CGTAT is responsible for the development, tracking and reporting of SCWI initiatives. The incumbent is the first point of contact for members of the regional planning team and is responsible for communication and administration of program design and approval of SCWI Activity Projects and Dual Credit Programs. The incumbent provides advice, coordination and support for the CGTAT membership which consists of 6 Colleges, 9 District School Boards, and several Ministry and business partners. The incumbent will have an understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities related to secondary and College transitions and will develop and promote innovative approaches enhancing the team environment. The Coordinator communicates the provincial SCWI directions/messages, fosters collaboration between the partners to ensure compatibility, and provides an array of integrated supports for delivery of approved initiatives. This position calls for a high level of organizational skill.


The successful incumbent will have a three (3) year diploma or college degree in a related field plus a minimum of three (3) years’ related experience. Experience in marketing campaigns, target markets, and skills in financial management for multi-million dollar project portfolios. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate a positive and strong work ethic, attention to detail, customer service orientation along with a desire to elevate efficiencies. Knowledge of school and college work initiative programs is considered an asset.
