Continuing Education Assistant/Clerical Support Clerk
Reporting to the Director, Continuing Education, the Continuing Education Assistant/Clerical Support Clerk supports the continuing education and financial operations of the School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism. The successful candidate will function as the first point of contact for CE inquiries and effectively resolve inquiries by phone, e-mail and in-person. Specific duties include: assisting with special projects and orientation activities for new instructors and student groups; scheduling CE courses using Infosilem and Banner, including using Open Learn; anticipating conflicts and other issues and resolve them using effective problem-solving; providing confidential clerical and administrative functions; organizing meeting and event-related logistics; inputting invoices into banner, creating regular and standing orders; generating sole source, wire transfers and requests for EFT; tracking invoices/payments through Cognos.
The successful candidate will possess a two year diploma in business administration or a related field, and have two years’ experience in a clerical support role. Applicants should be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Banner will be considered an asset. As a result of the dynamic nature of this position, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated superior organizational, communication (verbal and written), teamwork, and problem solving skills.
