Skills Ontario Coordinator
Reporting to the Manager, Technology Support Services, the Skills Ontario Coordinator assists in the planning, sourcing, implementing, and reporting of all activities that Technology Support is responsible for throughout the Skills Ontario setup, execution, and tear down for the competition. Specifically, this position will be responsible for project management, logistics, and image creation and delivery. Additionally, the incumbent will also be responsible for server build and configuration, computer installation, network installation and configuration, leading junior staff, and determining competition requirements.
The successful candidate must have either a diploma or degree within the fields of Computer Science and/or Information Technology, along with a minimum of three years experience providing front-line technical support within a busy and fast-paced environment. Additional certifications include an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 Foundations certificate and a HDI Desktop Support Technician certificate, both from a recognized authority. The candidate must also have experience with image creation and deployment, server build and configuration, and network design and implementation. Other required skills include: superior customer service and communications skills; demonstrated ability to provide clear verbal direction and advice to varied technical levels; critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills; and the ability to apply common sense and technical knowledge to resolve customer-based application and technology issues.
