International Admissions Advisor
Reporting to the Manager, International Admissions, the International Admissions Advisor (IA) provides front line support services for a broad range of initiatives in the International Centre. The IA provides expert advice and assistance regarding admission related questions and processes for the International students, while providing general knowledge on programs, courses, academic policies, Humber and Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development policies, procedures and services. The incumbent may deal with confidential information and communicates directly with prospective International students, International applicants, their appointed representative and other third parties involved in the processes. In addition, the incumbent provides specific assistance and information including: assessing the international application to determine readiness for assessment by the international admissions officer.
The successful candidate will possess a 2 year diploma in Public Relations, Accounting, Business or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of related experience. Additional requirements include: demonstrated use of initiative both in work load planning and in addressing customer concerns; providing adequate follow up to complaints and concerns; practical experience in a complex service environment that includes financial transactions. Excellent interpersonal, listening and customer service skills.
