Position Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Corporate Training Solutions, the Corporate Training Solutions Account Manager is responsible for proactively establishing, developing and managing long term relationships with external private and public sector organizations to meet their workplace learning needs. In this role, the account manager will build strategic internal relationships across the college and collaborate with and represent Humber schools to promote, source and deliver quality learning services to organizations. The incumbent will work with the team to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and generate revenue that represents the full range of Humber’s training service capabilities. S/he will provide consultative learning needs assessment services to help clients to determine performance and improvement needs and will propose learning solutions to organizations to meet those needs through Humber’s corporate training services. Regular prospecting, proposal writing, sourcing of internal and external facilitators/consultants, evaluation and reporting on client satisfaction and ROI are critical to the role of the Corporate Training Solutions Account Manager.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a 3 year diploma/degree in Business, Adult Education, Human Resources, Marketing or a similar field, along with a minimum of 5 years of related business development experience with a demonstrated ability to improve results through learning and development solutions. Additional qualifications include: entrepreneurial self-starter; strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills; demonstrated proposal writing ability; budgeting and financial skills; strong analytical and negotiation skills; a proven track record of achieving financial targets; and experience using MS Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This position requires a valid ‘G’ driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
