Program Development Consultant
Reporting to the Dean, Program Planning, Development & Renewal, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of program applications, including apprenticeship, postsecondary certificates, degrees, diplomas, advanced diplomas and graduate certificates. The Program Development Consultant will contribute to the success and growth of the college through development of new programs, review and revisions to existing programs, researching new and emerging occupations and related areas of study, as well as preparation of proposals in response to public and private sector initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for leading teams of faculty, academic administrators and external consultants to design new degree programs for Ministerial consent and in the Consent Renewal applications for Humber’s degree programs.
The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Education, Educational Theory, Social Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in curriculum and instructional design, preferably at the post-secondary level. The successful candidate will also possess knowledge and skills in the following areas: research techniques for collecting primary and secondary data; use of standard office computer application software; presentation and facilitation experience; ability to prepare clear and concise documentation; negotiation, conflict resolution and analytical thinking skills; ability to facilitate focus groups; experience in proofing and editing documents; strong interpersonal skills, particularly working as a member of a team; as well as knowledge of the Ontario college system and credentials they offer.
