Position Summary

Reporting to the Business Manager, the incumbent is accountable for the timely and accurate provision of administrative support to the Associate Dean, Business Manager and to Program Coordinators for approximately 13 program areas that include degrees and diplomas. The incumbent is responsible for providing front line customer service to the college community, as well as comprehensive confidential secretarial support for The Business School. Other duties include maintaining faculty and program curriculum files, ensuring Ministry materials are collected in a timely fashion and providing up-to-date documentation to assist with program renewal and the program development process. The incumbent will also assist with coordinating meeting and event logistics and will work on other learning services related projects as needed.

Qualifications

The successful incumbent will hold a two year diploma in Administration, Business or equivalent, along with a minimum of two years progressive work experience in an office setting. Excellent computer skills and demonstrated word processing and document formatting experience are a must. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision are essential as are excellent written and oral communication skills. Other qualifications include; demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good judgement, work with significant interruptions, and resolve conflicts. Knowledge of PEQAB legislation and ministerial consent process, program requirements, college systems, policies and procedures, and experience working in an educational institution or similar environment will be considered an asset.
