The incumbent will teach, design and develop curriculum, regularly design/revise specific courses, create an effective and innovative learning environment for our students, implement innovative instructional techniques, assess student progress and achievement; work collaboratively with colleagues, participate on School and Humber committees and related associations. Teaching will be assigned at both the North and Lakeshore campuses and may include teaching at the Orangeville campus.
The incumbent will also contribute to the overall direction of the programs, support student advising, student mentoring, student recruitment, graduate placement, assist with the promotion and marketing of programs and develop and maintain strong industry ties.


The successful candidate will have the minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline and teaching experience in a post-secondary environment. In addition to a demonstrated passion for teaching, industry acumen, current industry connections and relevant, practical experience is required along with knowledge of AODA. A robust set of specialized skills and characteristics drawn from areas including: graphic design, web design, product design, experience design, motion, storytelling, and front-end development, project management, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS, PhP, Front End Frameworks, critical and creative thinking, problem solving, comfort with emerging tools, technologies and processes, a love of collaboration, a driving curiosity, and a “tinkering” spirit are required.
n addition, the successful candidate will have engaging and effective teaching skills, demonstrated ability to coach and support students, demonstrated experience managing classroom dynamics, strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles, a student focused approach and a demonstrated commitment to fostering innovation and positive change. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion, be a collaborative team player and be committed to a positive team culture. The successful candidate will possess well developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and have demonstrated ability to contribute positively to curriculum development and delivery.
