Program Coordinator, Public Administration
The successful candidate’s will be required to teach courses in and coordinate the Public Administration postgraduate program at Lakeshore campus. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include: curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to play an active role in student advising, student recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will be expected to further develop community partnerships, as well as participate on Humber College/Departmental committees and advance college initiatives. This individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.
The successful candidate will be a current full-time Professor who has a relevant graduate degree (minimum MBA, MPA or relevant PhD) proven teaching experience, and a minimum of seven years of related experience. Additional qualifications include: superior and demonstrable written and oral communication skills, initiative and well-developed interpersonal communication and problem solving skills; proven desire and adaptability to work in a diverse, dynamic, multicultural environment with scarce resources; strong leadership capabilities; and a proven commitment to professional development, lifelong learning and non-traditional delivery methods. Demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery; knowledge of college systems, policies, procedures, the program context, and the ability to teach in a related discipline are advantageous.
Duration: This Coordinator position is a three (3) year term.

As per Article 14.03 A 3 of the Academic Collective Agreement, a Coordinator’s allowance will be paid in addition to the successful candidate’s salary as a Professor.
