Professor, Operations Management
The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of Operations Management courses at the introductory and advanced levels in the degree programs at the Lakeshore campus. In addition to teaching, responsibilities will include: curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to play an active role in student advising, student recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will be expected to further develop community partnerships, as well as participate on Humber College/Departmental committees and advance college initiatives. This individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.
The success candidate must hold a relevant PhD degree, accompanied by 5-7 years of related industry experience and highly successful teaching or training experience in the field. Candidates are also expected to have superior written and oral communication skills, mediation skills; commitment to teamwork, possess well-developed interpersonal communication and problem solving skills; and demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery; as well as the ability to work in a diverse, dynamic, multicultural environment with scarce resources, and a high degree of attention and focus to detail.
