Junior Testing Services Assistant
Reporting to the Manager, Testing Services and Integrated Services, the Junior Testing Services Assistant is responsible for providing quality invigilation and customer service to a diverse college population and outside agencies related to accommodated and post-secondary testing during peak periods. Specific duties include: administering/invigilating post-secondary exams; responding to inquires in person, by phone or email; liaising with faculty; troubleshooting minor computer anomalies; filing duties; and providing reader/scribe duties as necessary.
The successful candidate will possess a two-year diploma in the field of Business or the equivalent in work related experience along with a minimum of one to two years of practical experience in an office setting. The incumbent must have excellent human relations, customer service, organizational, interpersonal, listening and verbal/written communications skills. The incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision within an environment where clients are experiencing extreme stress. In addition, the incumbent must be a self-started and demonstrate the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment. Well-developed computer skills with a basic understanding of assistive software and MS word would be an asset. The incumbent must work well under pressure while demonstrating confidence and good judgment. Due to the flexibility that this position requires, the successful candidate must be prepared to work evening shifts as well as weekends.
