Leadership and Coordination of AODA Initiatives
Humber College is committed to providing an accessible living, learning and working environment. The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (the Centre) provides leadership and coordination of AODA initiatives to ensure Humber’s compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (2005). The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion works alongside the AODA Committee to promote leadership, innovation, collaboration and information-sharing on all matters related to accessibility throughout the College. AODA initiatives include but are not limited to:
- Training and skills development
- Resource development and distribution
- Consultation on accessibility issues
- Policy development and plan implementation to facilitate compliance with the AODA (2005) legislation.
