Message from Humber’s Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion

Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,

These are unprecedented times, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect communities around the globe, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected. For those of us who find purpose and passion in bringing people together despite their differences, it is a sad reality that ‘togetherness’ is currently a threat to our health and well-being.

We continue to have the privilege of serving you by providing education, training, leadership, investigation, early resolution, and mediation program and services. We are resolute in our commitment to support you through this extraordinary time in our history. While we are all forced to ‘fast adapt’ to conducting business through ‘virtual teams’, please know that we are here to support you and provide the outstanding services that the Humber community has grown accustom to and benefited from.

We thank you for your continued cooperation in this challenging time and despite this time of physical distancing we encourage you to remain socially connected to our staff through the contact channels below.

About the Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion

The Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Inclusion (Centre) provides programs and services that recognizes the intersectionality and interlocking of socially constructed identities. All Centre initiatives integrate a holistic framework that extend beyond binaries and addresses the simultaneity of the individual’s experiences. This intersectional and integrative approach, grounded in a practice of care, is woven throughout the Centre’s programs and services. The Centre ensures that equity, diversity and inclusion are instilled throughout Humber.

The Centre has two main programs:
