Humber Community Employment Services

“The employment team at Humber College demonstrate a high professional approach to their work, a commitment to excellence and a passion for serving others. We are proud to have them as our partners and look forward to our continuous work serving Canadian newcomers.”

Debroy Chan, Interim Executive Director, TRIEC

The Humber Community Employment Services continues to uphold a solid reputation of meeting employer’s needs in the community, by matching client skills and experience with the needs of the employers.

For the past 24 years, Humber Community Employment Services (HCCES) has provided a full range of employment and training services for job seekers, supporting them to achieve their employment goals through 4 locations in Toronto and 1 in Brampton. Over the past fiscal year alone, HCCES opened its doors to 5,745 job seekers and made a difference in the lives of those who trusted the HCCES team to guide them on their path to success.

Over the years HCCES has built a strong reputation of excellence in all aspects of their services with clients, community partners, employers and its funders. The team is proud of the extensive list of formal and informal community partnerships that have been established providing an opportunity to guide their clients to access the most suitable services, while also promoting Humber’s programs, services and activities in the community.

The HCCES team also build on Humber College’s 50 years of business and industry partnerships, and its solid reputation of meeting employer’s needs in the community, by matching client skills and experience with the needs of the employer; however, HCCES takes this to the next step by providing additional employer services such as hosting employer events, pre-screening resumes, promoting available jobs on job portals, and offering retention services. Over the past fiscal year alone HCCES hosted 56 employer events with 1952 job seekers participating.

Despite the challenges that HCCES is facing in these unprecedented times, the team members have exhibited creativity, resilience, passion and an incomparable level of team work to always be there for those who need them the most.
